Lighting equipment:
Now that Sawston Players are no longer based at Sawston Village College, there is no usual lighting system. We have acquired a small portable rig to use when we visit village halls and other venues without stage lights. This has six 650W lights on two tripods with analogue manual control.
Sound equipment:
Sawston Players does not possess any sound equipment. All sound equipment used in the preparation of sound effects and in performances is provided by members of the company.

Awards:
Awards (for When The Bough Breaks) include both Lighting and Sound Awards at the Cambridge Drama Festival and the Backstage Award at the NDFA 1999 British All Winners Festival. The latter, known as The Sydney Fisher Trophy, is quite unusual depicting a theatre technician about to climb a ladder; on a pole are two lights and on the base several items including a stage weight.
